The Tender Organ

A collection of sculpted anatomical hearts, made slowly and entirely by hand.

While looking through my books, I came across Love Letters: An Anthology of Passion, a collection of letters written across different places, lives, and moments in history. The book gathers love in so many of its forms: devotion, admiration, obsession, revelation, inspiration, and those feelings became the names of the different styles in this collection.

Each necklace holds its own version of the heart: imperfect, tender, visceral, handmade. Each heart is individually sculpted and hand-painted, so no two will ever be exactly alike. Small variations in shape, texture, and color are part of the piece and part of the process.

Because of my love for literature, reading, poetry, and, of course, love itself, I decided to add a little extra gift to every order.

With your Tender Organ, you will receive a fragment from a love letter featured in the book, handwritten by me and chosen to accompany your piece.

From there, you must do a little discovering of your own: find the letter, read it in full, learn who wrote it and to whom, and uncover the story behind those words.

Maybe you’ll find something that resonates with you. A little piece of someone else’s love, passed from my hands to yours.
